Hills of Bountiful

A couple of months ago we took a drive up toward Francis Peak.  The weather was a bit cloudy, and as we ascended the curvy dirt road we soon found ourselves in passing clouds dumping massive amounts of rain.



The lighting was absolutely spectacular and the flowers were in full bloom.  We scored some of the best shots of the Salt Lake Valley ever (if I do say so myself)…





We didn’t actually make it to the peak and instead took a detour to some ponds on the backside of the mountain.  Given the dry year, the lush hillside and abundant flowers were absolutely magical.
